Wiki Page

Last week we were told to create a wiki page, my group had to write about what education was like 10 years ago. I specifically focused on the technology that was used in classrooms, I researched into technology that we have today and when it was invented and released and wrote a list of what would have been available to schools 10 years ago.

Reading week!

We had a week off uni to do work for each lecture, i decided to leave all my work till the last few days and went on a bit of a mad one to get it all done!
During the week I got my first tattoo, i had song lyrics from my fave song on my foot. Everyone thought i was a tad bit mad to have my first tattoo on my foot as its one of the worst places to get one! I do believe I actually almost crushed Laura's hand while they were tattooing underneath my ankle, it was actual agony but it was worth it, although Laura might say different! Rhiannon also got a tattoo on her wrist, she told us to leave when we had finished even though she hadnt had her tattoo by then. We then left and got texts off Rhiannon telling us to come back cause she was in pain, bless her!

We were told to read and summarise two reflective learning documents. The first document was 'Reflective learning' this was about what a reflective learner is and how important it is to be a reflective learner. The article points out what reflective learners consider and what they do to ensure that they learn and analyse their learning at the same time. The article also explains how one can develop on their reflective learning by giving ideas, such as a blog where the leaner can reflect and post to.

The second document is 'Blogs as reflective learning' this article pointed out how important blogs are and how easier it is to keep a blog on the computer rather than on paper. The paper points out two theorists, these are Kolb & Gibbs. Kolb's theory contained a cycle of four stages of learning, these are experiencing, reflection, conceptualization and planning. He believes that a person has to follow these stages in order to learn successfully.
